A three day graffiti project funded by KCC via the Combined Member Grant. Originally scheduled for the creation of a graffiti wall at our arts centre in Mangravet Avenue. With Harmony now operating in the town centre, so too does the art work we are creating. Working alongside a renowned local street artist, some of our talented and dedicated young people are creating magic with spray cans.
Based on the idea that Harmony is a welcoming community that focuses on art, music and performance, we will create a large mural in the town centre.
Across the three days 28th, 29th and 30th July 12 young people supported by three mentors will transform this wall at Lockmeadow entertainment complex into a colourful and expressive piece of art to be admired by many.
Our young people will also go away with a personal canvas created by them including the skills they have learned, such as gridwork, text and typeface, texturing and spray skills.
