The Mash Up is a both party and a bit of an experiment. What happens when you introduce a live band to a room full of visual artists and dancers? And then tell them to make something up on the spot, in the same time, in the same space? With a live audience?

We have absolutely no idea, but whether awesome or catastrophic it’s definitely going to be a very good show.

  

The concept is very simple:

 

Ever wondered if the players in the band are just making it up as they go along? Well in this case yes they are, as the only rule to this jam is that it must be entirely improvised. A concert from some of the best pro musicians around, that you definitely have never heard before.

Real art, being made by real artists right in front of your face. If you’re a visual artist – you can get involved too! Just turn up with your materials of choice, get comfortable and join the fun. Both individual and communal works encouraged!

Whilst the jam is busy making the sounds, the dancers will be providing the spectacle. An entirely improvised routine from local pro choreographers.
